The Flex Companion app is Digital Asset Management Android Mobile app
We endeavour to support being able to:
- Use different screen sizes
- Correct content sequencing
- Consistent navigation
- Appropriate labels
- Resize text (up to 200%)
- No content that relies solely on sensory characteristics.
- Image/Graph captions, transcriptions and audio descriptions in content screens
Our aims
We aim for no restrictions for:
- Deaf/Limited hearing users
- Non-verbal users
- Limited manipulation users
- Limited reach and strength users
- Cognitive user group
There are some restrictions for:
- Users without vision or limited vision
- Users without perception of colour
Android App Accessibility
Whilst we have endeavoured to ensure the accessibility of our Android mobile app, there are some known limitations. The app is partially compliant with the required applicable w3 standards (i.e. WCAG 2.1 AA), due to ‘the non-compliances’ listed below. Also taken into consideration is Apple and Google standards, but not as sole fail criteria for the purposes of this particular audit.
- Images will not always have suitable image descriptions.
- Navigation icons on some screens do not always have suitable image descriptions.
- Some text and button contrast need improvements
- Some buttons, text field and dropdown sizes need increasing
- No dropdown options selectable, only default selected option.
- Reference numbers are read out as numbers rather than digits
- Some abbreviations need improvement for TalkBack.
- Keyboard navigation on form does recognise dropdowns.
- Keyboard navigation does not work past the last field in an upload form section.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
- We strive to make sure our use of navigation, images, graphs, slideshows, documents meets accessibility standards.
- We will work to address issues raised in accessibility audits.
- We aim to introduce automated checks into the development process.
- We listen to user feedback.
